Had forty minutes left before midnight, so I started Chapter 5. Ended up with another 898 words before the clock turned. Got Jack moving into the next conflict. Man, this book is just flying off my fingers…

Actually got 20 more words than yesterday. Got through chapter 4 and ready to start chapter 5 and Jack’s POV again. Back again and hoping to match with the woman he loves. But this time, he’s got 29 other guys to contend with, including his former rival from book 1. And things are about to get even more painful for him when someone from his past shows up on the show. The plot thickens. Talia, in angel of death form this time, is struggling to keep her angel of death powers in check. The urge to smite stupid humans is rising and she can’t just walk around smiting her rivals on the show. Well, I suppose she could, but then book 2 would be in a whole new genre. She has gained new respect for her human charges and she empathizes with the things they struggle with. But not with the arrogant and willfully stupid ones. And then there’s Lucifer, cheating, lying, and meddling his way through the wager, trying to trip her up at every turn so he will win. If he wins, then Talia loses everything. And so does Muriel and Jack.

Guess I’ll just stay on this side of the fence and keep doing my dare. Into chapter 3. Setting up the wager and its conditions. And the game of lost souls for this book. Next chapter is in Talia’s POV as she starts work on the rematch reality TV show, The Prince Charming Hour. Will update my word count later tonight.
